The Sooner Theatre of Norman, in cooperation with other local businesses, is hosting a competition to support the educational programs of The Studio of The Sooner Theatre. This year's competition will support the purchase, renovation and equipment at the new permanent location for The Studio of The Sooner Theatre in Downtown Norman. 

The first round of the competition will be conducted through video submission followed by a preliminary event to be held at the Sooner Theatre in September 2024.

The Finals Gala will be held at Southwind Hills Event Barn in September 2024. Dress for this event for attendees is party/cocktail/western.

The Studio of the Sooner Theatre is more than a rehearsal space, more than a place to play, more than an extracurricular activity. It is a place where the magic of the theatre can evoke change in the lives of both kids and care-givers alike. The Studio of The Sooner Theatre provides complete experience for kids in our community as they explore and grow through theatrical arts. The Studio serves students age 3 to adult, has special needs classes, works with community partners to bring performing arts into therapeutic settings, and gives more than $40,000 in scholarships to students who could otherwise not afford to participate each year.
